Who colonised the sahel states again? The Sahel states wouldn’t have been not sovereign without France. Macron is behaving like the colonisers of the old times and let’s be real, he’s just made that he lost a cheap source of valuable natural resources, e.g. Niger with its uranium.
Well, his contempt is why the French hate him. He has been saying remarks like that on many topics
like : ‘there are those who succeed and those who are nothing’, ‘if you wants a responsible it’s me, come and get me’ (about one of his man that disguised himself as a cop to hit manifestants for fun), …
These old colonial powers are just kicking and screaming as their neo empires come to an end. Of course there are concerns that Sahel countries are turning to Russia now but that’s because they believe Russia is giving them a better deal. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen.
