Chicken fillet roll will be 8 quid by the end of the year
Farmers opting out of growing crops will only increase rapidly this year. Fertiliser has more than doubled in the past year.
Ear to the ground had an episode a few weeks back (would have been recorded in the summer last year) where a fella said the supermarkets will only give him 20c for a head of cabbage.
Beef will increase. Farmers will be cutting down on stock as they won’t be spending massive money on fertiliser.
Your takeaways will pay more for the burgers and the price will be passed on to you.
If this Russia war continues and the economic consequences don’t improve, things are properly fecked.
Start baking your own bread and growing your own veg folks
Everyone should pressure for an immediate pay rise.
From what I’ve learned in r/ireland that is exactly how the economy works.
That’ll make this all better right?
Right?????
Time to start getting into oat bread ?
2020 coming back to haunt us. Everyone gonna be making their own sourdough all over again.
I was smart and planted the vegetable seeds during covid so I have my salads ready to go.
Fuck Bread
What a pain in the loaf
Might be time for Irish farmers to start sowing wheat, where their land permits, as world wheat prices are headed skywards, thanks to Mr Putain (not a typo). They’ll make out like bandits…
*Laughs in coeliac*
Well at least we’ll still have cake to fall back on.
Bread has a higher glycemic index than sugar.
Get those spuds in the ground, fellas. If all else fails, boxty’s still on the menu.
On a serious note. Will spuds go up?
Is this God’s way of telling me to go low carb!
Pasta unfortunately too.
We get it, everything is more expensive now.
Keto for life
Has the quality of Brennan’s wholegrain decreased?
Can’t wait to be all trimmed and show off in crop tops next summer. *Famine chic* I call it.
