  1. Farmers opting out of growing crops will only increase rapidly this year. Fertiliser has more than doubled in the past year.

    Ear to the ground had an episode a few weeks back (would have been recorded in the summer last year) where a fella said the supermarkets will only give him 20c for a head of cabbage.

    Beef will increase. Farmers will be cutting down on stock as they won’t be spending massive money on fertiliser.

    Your takeaways will pay more for the burgers and the price will be passed on to you.

    If this Russia war continues and the economic consequences don’t improve, things are properly fecked.

  3. Might be time for Irish farmers to start sowing wheat, where their land permits, as world wheat prices are headed skywards, thanks to Mr Putain (not a typo). They’ll make out like bandits…
