RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, has announced that Raiven and Štras will host EMA 2025.
Raiven and Štras will host EMA 2025. Raiven represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Veronika”. She also hosted EMA in 2018. Raiven commented on her presenting role:
“Presenting EMA is my responsibility to connect the event with the people who follow it with great expectations and passion. The thought of EMA brings me a lot of nostalgia. I have experience as a performer and as a presenter, so above all, I want EMA to be a stage where music and creativity meet without unnecessary criticism and pressure.”
Joining Raiven will be Gregor Strasbergar, better known as Štras. Štras is the lead singer of MRFY and his role as a presenter of EMA will be his first presenting role on RTVSLO. He stated:
“The thought of presenting Ema is not a great pleasure for me yet. It’s more stressful. Probably half the country is going to slam me, but thankfully they’re going to slam our new representative more.”
On January 25, one week before the final of EMA, the preview show Ema pred Emo (EMA before EMA), will be broadcast. In the show, which will be hosted by Bernarda Žarn and Jože Robežnik, the EMA 2025 finalists will talk about their preparations for EMA. Short snippets of all 12 songs will also be revealed.
