  3. Well, a lot of wind projects require no federal permitting and he can try to stop those, but they’ll lose in court pretty quick.

    Still, blocking the cheapest energy source is a good way to keep electricity prices high

  11. If Trump didn’t like asparagus, he would order it banned and the fields burned. It doesn’t matter if you like asparagus. The dictator has spoken.

    His desire to ban offshore wind power will bankrupt American companies, imperil power utilities and infrastructure businesses, cause thousands of Americans to lose their jobs, and put America hopelessly behind foreign competitors.

    I can only hope that governors, mayors, businesses, and unions file class action lawsuits. It will force members of Congress to take a stand. It’s time to stand up to a tyrant.

    Trump’s pockets are being stuffed by at least four Texas oil fracking billionaires with a strong interest in destroying the growth of solar, wind, and geothermal energy. Remember their names: Harold Hamm, [Tim Dunn](https://www.desmog.com/2024/10/23/trump-project-2025-tim-dunn-crownquest-convention-states/), Farris and Dan Wilks. They are evil incarnate.

Low maintenance cost, more cost efficient than coal, gas. Easy to throttle back, and it pleases their customers. Bottom line, utilities make money. So tRump, go pound sand!
