Oh look, another reason why we should have a national, mandatory, photo ID card in this country. At this stage it’s just basic efficiency and anti-fraud. If you want to have a workable state machinery that gives people help when they need it and in the amount that they need it then everyone needs to row in and have a single standardised ID card.
And no, the PSC is not it. That was brought in on the sly by a right wing Govt as a way of controlling the plebs while letting the fat cats go about their business unaffected.
I’m talking about every man, woman and child; rich, poor and everything in between, signing up to the same system. By making it mandatory and universal the people at the bottom will benefit from the concerns expressed by the people at the top. Can’t say fairer than that.

He is jobless at 60 years of age in a time that Ireland is booming with work. The waster likely paid no tax during his parasitic presence in Ireland and the judge says he is entitled to legal aid? What benefits did he bring to Ireland to deserve anything from us? He brought problems, a chip in his shoulder and likely an aggressive religion.
We have enough dole sponger reject junky criminals of our own without bringing in the rejects of other countries.
