3. Obviously no one wants to see murder, let alone of a child. But are we again going to just go with the “heart of gold, salt of the earth, nicest lad going” rhetoric you always get given when there’s the murder of a minor, when in reality this boy was likely in a gang, violent, and typically a terrible person.

5. Oh yea, you could almost predict the ‘kind’, ‘wouldn’t hurt a fly’ etc commentary come through. Gaslighting at its finest. The mum seems a terrible parent despite her staged teary photo op for the papers — seeing her child ending up dead can’t come as a huge surprise.

6. Sad story. Sounds like he grew up without a dad which is the worst thing. He was set up to fail.

7. Really sad how roadman life is something little boys are emulating. Kelyan’s mum probably saw it all as either harmless fun or denying her son was seriously in danger or a danger to others (based on the lad’s social media posts). Even if there was intervention he’s so young that by the time anything ‘serious’ could be undertaken by authorities, it was already too late. The same goes for the murderers, likely kids as well.

   Being at secondary school and on social media ended up radicalising this young boy. He would have been in primary school just 3 or 4 years ago – playing tag in a playground with other kids. Puberty hit, his hormones and decision making ended up taking him down a very wrong path. Reminds me of Elianne Andam, the young girl, only 14 or 15, stabbed to death by another young man in Croydon back in 2023. That murderer’s defence? He was “offended, insulted, belittled and disrespected” by Andam. Likely the same reason Kelyan was murdered.

9. I’d like to remind everyone suggesting it was deserved as he was involved in a gang and therefore a bad person — he was 14, a child. No child deserves this.

13. Sadly happening more frequently than ever. Driven by social media and glorification of violence in drill music, these lads who are often academically weak instead see their future with these gangs. By the time they reach 14 they’re almost unreachable because they don’t listen to adults/teachers/parents etc.
