  2. Meanwhile unhoused folks in LA have nowhere to go, and have no air protection from the wildfires. And nearly zero support from the local govt due to moving funds from homelessness causes towards the LAPD.

  4. It’s sad to the PROPERTY. Not the folks who can replace actually everything at will. Barring sentimental things that they definitely had fair warning to evacuate. 

    That said, I wish no bad luck to John Goodman or Billy crystal. 

    Let’s just please make sure we all care this much about the sanctity of one’s home next time it’s poor people in a flood.

  13. Billy Crystal posted that he and his wife have lived in that home since 1979 and raised their children and grandchildren there. He sounded absolutely devastated. My heart breaks for all of Los Angeles today. This scope of damage so far is staggering, and the fires and smoke are expected to continue for a few more days.
