  8. I feel like I’d need to refuse to answer most polls of that sort because the question is so often (deliberately) ambiguous.

    Superior to *some* other culture? Or all of them?

  9. Replace ´culture´ by ´beer´ and Belgium becomes the darkest of blue on that map.

  10. I find this quite unbelievable. I’ve lived in recent times in UK, France and the Netherlands – none of these stats concur with my experience.

  13. Sweden is probably in Greece-territory but people would not admit it even to an anonymous poll.

  14. The Norway/Denmark/Sweden is a strange one. So much variation between oil, potatoes and Abba.

  16. Interesting that probably the best cultures: France, Spain, Netherlands and Sweden are all so insecure about it.

  29. Really need to know who answered this question for Romania.

    Every TV interview I have ever witness, every friend I have is practically itching to piss on Romania. Most conflicts or dissapoinments in Romania end with “Romania tara de cacat” (translated Romania a shit country).

  31. The only reason Belgium is so low is that Walloons and Flemish judge their culture based on their view of the other.

  32. As an Eastern European that spent a lot of time in Western Europe I feel like all this poll shows is that west Europeans lie in surveys.

    I have not met one person in Western Europe that doesn’t believe they are superior to the East at least a bit and to other non-European cultures by a lot.

  34. We share a border with Sweden, so it is no wonder why 58% of us correctly identified our culture as superior. Looks like most swedes agree too!
