  1. Intel: Shrinking market, lagging technology, Falling stocks.

    Germany: High energy prices (crucial for lithography), unfriendly business environment, too many regulations, and annoying bureaucracy.

    If Intel is going to make new fabs, it sure ain’t gonna be Germany, no matter how many billion EUR the Germans give them. Fab operation costs would burn up the money in a few years.
