‘Mexican America’: #Mexico president trolls #Trump with suggested US name change

After Donald #Trump pledged to change the name of the Gulf of #Mexico to the Gulf of America earlier this week, Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum responded with a suggested name change of her own on Wednesday, January 8. Speaking at a press conference, she said that North America, including the #US should in fact be known as “Mexican America”, using historic maps to back up her argument.

  6. People do understand. Mexico is part of Central America and connected the North and South American continents. So, a gulf between those lands should be called the Gulf of America. This is not new. This has been a bullet note since the 90s…
