€6 for 6 hot cross buns!!! Has Ireland property market crossed over to baked goods?

  1. Of course it doesn’t cost 6 euro to make em, you’d fckn cook entire tray at home for that price.

Point being this is retail and shit, so they need markup, if it’s bread and tiny bit of spice, euro a bun isn’t cheap, so question is is it any good, as you can still pickup 3 whatever buns freshly baked at Aldi or Lidl for couple euro, but any decent bakery won’t sell as cheaply, so it’s more where you shop and what you want.

  2. I know there saying the price of wheat is going up.. but this is a bit extreme

(I’ll have one hot cross bun and a knife to share)

  3. Cost of good quality grain products will have gone up so maybe there lies the price increase. Aldi taste just as good I’d imagine?

  4. It’s Fallon & Byrne. What did you expect?
Also one of the worst venues for a band to try and setup for a gig.
    Just fucking ridiculous.

  5. I remember I walked into fallon and byrne one time and my wallet just burst into flames. I wouldn’t mind but it nearly set my personal shopper on fire.

  6. They only charge what people are willing to pay. If you shop in there then I’d expect you wouldn’t care about the price.

  7. This subreddit always manages to make me hungry. If its not this, its a spice bag. Ffs I’m supposed to be on a diet.
