It’s because of Russia’s, or rather Putin’s, invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine is one of the largests vegetable oil producers in Europe. If the supply is limited, sale of it is limited.
Ukraine is one of the biggest producer for certain oiles.
In my limited German, I got that they were asking for each family to get 2 bottles only, but I read the wrong label and was like….why limit the brandy? Then…my dumbass looked up.
Probably more people decided to drive their Diesels with vegetable oil because prices for Diesel went through the roof.
The oil can also be used directly in some cars instead of diesel, so it’s cheaper than diesel
Not again, first the toilet paper/flour because of the pandemic and now this
