I think UK agrees that UK is not doing enough for refugees
For people who watched the press conference you would also know that Macron added right after that the UK had listened to his critic and were “moving in the right direction”, and Der Leyen even agreed.
I am more concerned with the money laundering in London personnally.
Why is there suddenly such a huge rush and huge amounts of outcry when there have been innocent people, a lot who were legitimate refugees, drowning for years?
“But they are more culturally similar”, and? They are more socially similar so they should get to skip the line whilst others literally drown?
Come on, they accepted 50 refugees. What more could they be expected to do?
Do the French and British governments seriously have to get into a shit slinging match at a time like this?
If the French stopped the bogus asylum seeking economic migrants from travelling through France to pay criminal people smugglers thousands of Euros to get to the UK, maybe the UK could have taken more Ukrainian refugees.
The Germans did take in those 1 million Syrians how did they manage it?
UK still has a massively overheated housing market with Yorkshire post saying 12k Afghans are still stuck in hotels.
Short term refugees can live in sports halls but for how long.
We definitely need to do more for Ukrainian refugees. But really it’s looking like an obsession for Macron to be shit talking the UK nowadays.
