He’s here as a representative of a president who’s dropped all pretence and has openly signalled that he’s now the world’s most prolific dictator. Also, far from condemning his country’s war crimes, he’s gone on TV to double down on his government’s insane lies that the nation of Russia was in genuine fear of Ukraine, and had no other option than to invade for the safety of its people. Surely that voids any sort of diplomatic pretense. It seems pointless to pander to this bullshit any further.
