To change all tires or just add studs (Annual inspection)?

  1. The tyres on the same axel must be identical by model and condition. If two tyres are in good condition, you may keep them on one axel and buy two new ones for the other axel. If all are poor, e.g. thread depth under 3 mm, then replace all four tyres with new ones.

  2. You can also just pull all the studs out from every tire. For some reason that is acceptable and will net in a pass from inspection.

  3. when i got this i pulled out every stud out of every tire and no more difference in studs. stupid loopholes are there to be used

  4. The guy inspecting my car said that you have to have about the same amount of studs on each tire. As I had only a couple studs left across all tires I was good.

Still had lots of thread left.
