“Those people were at work talking about work” over wine & cheese while not using masks or socially distancing. Yes I too often discuss work at work over wine & cheese. Don’t We All?!?
It’s going to be NFA’d, that’s pretty obvious at this point. And even if it’s not then they have already said that they won’t announce who was fined. So the government can just go “we consider the matter closed”.
And this is ignoring that they can avoid even mentioning it because of the situation in Ukraine.
War. HUH. What is it good for?
Shifting the news agenda
The Tories have managed to turn this into a discussion of whether it was specifically illegal, and deflect from the fact that Boris lied to Parliament, which is typically a resignation offence.
What’s going on? Not much. Well, other than Boris wanking himself off furiously in his Churchill cosplay.
Nothing of substance is going to come of it, because nothing of substance came of anything else.
Examples:
* Boris has mislead parliament; nothing was done.
* Bkackford calls out the above; punished.
* Patel was caught lying to parliament twice recently about the new visa centres; nothing has been done.
The Tories are in charge, corruption and law breaking is the order of business.
Opportunities have arisen to take both the public’s and the press’s interest away from it. It’s effectively been buried.
Nothing to look here. Look at Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!
>Whitehall sources have suggested there were fears among some staff that they might receive multiple fines if they attended more than one event under investigation,
If you got caught speeding on multiple occasions, in or around the same area, you’d get multiple fines and everyone would tell you that it’s your own fault for being an idiot.
These people need to take responsibility for their own actions otherwise perhaps they need to find a job they’re more suited to.
All brushed under the carpet…nothing to see here…don’t you know there’s a war on!
Shelved as Boris plays statesman, the only shocker is that he hasn’t started smoking cigars in parliament yet.
Nothing, because unless you march on number 10 there is nothing compelling Boris to face any consequences
Its so obvious in hindsight that throughout Partygate he had intel the Russian invasion was coming.
You can almost picture him in late December/early January in his Downing Street office rocking on his heels
“Just got to wait it out… Come on Russia. Just a bit longer until I can LARP as Churchill and this all goes away…”
He got away with it and *he knew he was going to*. He just needed to ride it out for a couple of months until the most mighty of distractions was going to drop, and so he did.
Edit: Him and his mates probably shorted the rouble as well.
We elected a corrupt government, and now we’re a corrupt country.
Lies and corruption are now how our country is run.
Government controlled media killed it BBC, as you know.
Forgotten about due to Ukraine and Putin saving Johnson’s skin
Nothing. Millions of Ukrainians want to come here, oil and gas price is up the moon, nickel is banned from trading, wages are not rising fast, income tax and NI hike is looming etc.
You still talking about party gate mate? That’s so 2021.
Haha, still can’t handle the truth you lot Ffs…get the fuck over Brexit dipshits!
So far they’ve concluded it was all the BBC’s fault, questioned Keir Starmer 37 times and demanded an apology from Jeremy Corbyn for antisemitic remakes they had a dream that he made. But the work continues.
