It allows states and utilities to implement emergency pricing which bypasses nearly all the regulations protecting rate payers from ridiculously high costs, even the ones who aren’t normally responsible. Investors can potentially totally make hundreds of billions in just a few hours during these events.

  2. Is it true that the USA refining infrastructure is suited for heavy oil that is no longer produced within the USA, so that has to be imported? And that the USA now produces light crude for which USA has no/little refining capacity, so that light has to be exported? That’s an “emergency” for First Felon Trump’s Big Oil pals.

  3. He wants to stymie all renewables.

    This only serves to help oil and gas.

    Why do this? Simple. They will find ways to pay him and in turn, oil and gas gets wayyyy more money.

  4. I suspect a lot of it will be to force the various pipelines to get built, bypassing any local concerns or discussion and releasing the companies for any liability. That seems to be a huge thing for the cult, which I think is because it allows company CEO and shareholders to make loads of cash selling oil overseas.
