7. People attribute this to Ukraine, when in fact this is simply incompetence on Russia’s part. These ships are designed to be used in calm waters, mainly rivers. Russians decided to risk it and use them in open waters, in Black Sea. Unfortunately for them the weather has been rough lately and we already saw a couple of them literally break in half. This will happen again. They really do not care about the ecological consequences, they need oil to be shipped.
