The city of Essen put these everywhere in public parks/forests recently. I cannot make any sense of these things.

  1. Right behind is the pond, there are ducks so little children come from the playground and play near the water. This plank “Rettungsgerät” rescue device is supposed to help you rescue someone

    Edit: This one has been there for like 5 year, walk by there daily

  2. This is used to help someone who broke into the ice
