  1. TLDR:

    * When the star, 56, appeared on [SiriusXM’s *Andy Cohen Live*](http://url9434.siriusxm.com/ls/click?upn=u001.ws0QEvrrFyEwl-2BbecR7s1ztjDCjCmkXtarRP4FJ2ya06PSZ-2FPD0YkoF0M-2FAJrNumPm-2FNEwIwiA-2BSU1KbIbXx5g-3D-3Dy_Y5_93BsojE-2BL5C-2BY5bA-2FpB2SzZ1SNnWkF-2BQ945BckOaoH-2FcCzmlPRHngyidsoZ-2BL-2F5W8sN27FwwRBn0y2YHae70PH8Xv4SkInb3we0neR8TqWBHFVuqQwLl8Ti3-2B2t2o4v1xugpXbTL5295-2BtIF6i98qUK0dgarDWOLgWEsMcqla0XNn7c-2Ff6bfd-2BueNRSFlxWFksy9W-2BT8SHim74HteLPHP1E1f7-2BT-2B-2F7TVbyBmJL-2BO4o-3D) to promote her new movie *The Last Showgirl*, she said during the interview that she “didn’t know anything about” Hulu’s 2022 drama series [*Pam & Tommy*](https://people.com/tv/pam-and-tommy-cast-side-by-side-real-people-pictures/) until after it was filmed. The show dramatized her relationship with [ex-husband](https://people.com/tv/pam-and-tommy-true-story/) Tommy Lee and their 1995 scandal surrounding a [stolen homemade sex tape](https://people.com/movies/pamela-anderson-has-not-watched-stolen-sex-tape-to-this-day/).
    * “I didn’t have any involvement. No one called me, which was so strange, and that was hurtful,” she said. “I think ethically it’s illegal,” she added, when Andy Cohen wondered aloud whether Hulu was in the wrong for making a series based on Anderson’s life. “But you’re kind of fair game. I remember people telling me that a long time ago, that you are basically public property and you have no right to privacy. I remember that.”
    * When Cohen asked if Hulu executives ever reached out to her — Anderson described those behind *Pam & Tommy* as “assholes” in a January 2023 [*Variety*](https://variety.com/2023/tv/features/pamela-anderson-interview-abuse-boyfriends-pam-and-tommy-backlash-1235501556/) interview and said at the time she wanted a public apology — to “make this right” for Anderson, the actress said, “No. They haven’t.”

  2. I understand her point. And this may be unpopular but I don’t think the representation of Pam in that series was disrespectful.

  3. Pam and Tommy were a very public couple, and their tape getting stolen was just one part of that. Even without the sex tape debacle, I’d imagine someone would have dramatized them eventually anyway.

While she can wish the show had not been made, she’s wrong to think they needed her consent or that making the series should have been illegal. There’s an implicit choice made when becoming a public figure, fame and money in return for privacy. The show didn’t steal from her, in fact it seemed to be a fair portrayal.

Edit: I am not saying the tape theft was okay. I am saying FX did nothing wrong when they produced a show about her, including covering the tape’s theft. Pam thinks the miniseries shouldn’t have been allowed to be made. FX asked for her input and tried to make an accurate depiction of her. If studios needed public figures’ permission to portray them, we’d never get bio pics, or worse they’d be little more than puff pieces to glorify the subject.

  4. Oddly enough, the primary reason Anderson has this renewed interest is BECAUSE of the show. I know that sounds humiliating on paper, but the fact is that she got a lot of clout because of the show and she has seized the opportunity to become treated seriously as an actress beyond just Baywatch and Borat. And that’s a net positive at the end of the day, she’s gone through a ton of physical and sexual abuse in her life, so being able to finally have agency in her career is nothing short of a huge personal win for her. If I were her though, I would probably acknowledge the show’s role in getting her to that point publicly, even if it’s just to give them the finger further.

  5. Do you think she waved to Sebastian Stan and Seth Rogen at the Globes??

  6. I feel like this is a classic situation with a lot of these entertainers they live the wild and crazy life when they’re young P.S I read her book and they did just off the wall stuff they were not great people when they’re young and becoming famous they made millions of dollars in blue millions of dollars and then all sudden they become older and now they found Jesus and they’re like I’m just a amazing person I should be a role model. And if you read any of these biographies I read so many of these famous people’s biographies they’re all terrible human beings for 90% of their lives none of them are role models if you want some real wild stuff just go read the Jersey Shore Mike the situations book and you’ll see what a PS he is.

  7. I think she’s doing the whole no make up shtick for attention. She’s pretty irrelevant. Because her fame was based on being a bombshell. Walking around as an older woman in Hollywood without make up is “shocking” and “brave”. She’s pretty smart for doing it, if attention was the goal.

  8. Honestly she looks like shit at 57. Skin walker lookin ass.

  9. I actually walked away with a much better understanding of what happened and a *lot* of empathy and love for Pamela. That Hulu series was beneficial for her image in my opinion.
