I'm going on a road trip to Norway around mid-june and I was wondering what the best way to get from Oslo to Bergen is. Right now, these are the two routes I'm looking at with a stop in between to break up the drive. Right now I'm torn between Gaustatoppen and the drive north through Hardangervidda. I'm you have any other suggestions for a different route to take, please let me know! Thanks!

  1. If you plan to visit Gaustatoppen, then do the southern route. If not, Haukeli is a boring drive.

    Hardangervidda is very pretty. Even prettier is Hol – Aurland. Take one of these for the scenic drive.

  2. What are your plans for the road trip? Driving inland in norway gets very boring quick. If you want some better views, drive something like Oslo -> sandefjord -> stavanger -> tau -> sauda -> bergen. (Im not all that sure about the trip from sandefjord to stavanger, but stavanger to bergen has some nice views)
