Pacific Northwest or Midwest?
Thanks for sharing! Amazing how they haven’t dropped in performance over the years.
Cleaning regularily?
Is it possible to only live off this? Seeing the net used (will use a little less) and net made. Also how big/much do u have?
They usually say that a solar panel will loose its efficiency but here’s looks like yours are holding well.
You use on average 30kwh per day? Or almost 11,000 kwh per year?
Is that heating and cooling or something?
In the UK, im using 4800kwh/ year and that includes two electric cars.
We have gas heating like and no AC.
Awesome! What size system do you have? Have you considered or looked at battery storage?
This is great data. It’s also a clean example of why solar alone is not enough to run a grid. Batteries are essential and a lot of them.
So. I have questions.
Do you have a 5000+ 200W panel array? 1.4MWh is a lot. How much was the install?
electric heating uses a lot of electricity. less if it’s heat pump, but in general when you depend on electricity for heating, your winter usage can skyrocket. which isnbad since winter solar production is abismal compared to summer. you either oversize to account for winter (huge investment, might not even be feasible) or rely on grid/gas.
Might be even cooler if you did this in dollars saved
