  14. Reportedly? They have literally said multiple times they plan major cuts to social security and Medicaid. And yet a bunch of people still voted against their best interests.

I’m done caring about all the poor MAGA supporters that can’t seem to square the circle of their own reliance on government assistance and their support of the GOP. Yes, many others will be hurt in the process but it’s fully in the GOPs shoulders. Hopefully it will cause a political backlash that sees Dems winning in the midterms and 2028.

They have cut these programs so much and put so many extra stipulations on receiving medicaid that the only people receiving it are very low income workers with children, the disabled, or elderly. So they want to cut it in half saving 5 trillion. So who is going to lose out, the children, disabled, or elderly. They could save more by actually taxing the wealthy and not giving out so many grants to the wealthy. There’s barely anything left for those in poverty, they can’t do it without alot of blowback and protests.

  38. This is terrible. Many handicapped and mentally disabled people simply cannot work. What are they supposed to do without Medicaid, die?

  39. Sadly, this will play out according to a well trod path:

    1. Propose a dramatic overreact.

    2. Allow the Democrats to scale back to where you actually wanted to go anyway.

    3. Ram it through with Democratic support.

    4. Laugh as the Dems run around bragging that they prevented even worse cuts.

    This plan works every time because the Democrats have this pathological need to appear bipartisan. They would try to find the middle ground between a wife beater and the wife if given the chance. The only time they will actually put their foot down is if one of the big party doners is threatened.

  44. My mom just got approved for Medicaid. Guess what party she voted for? I have no sympathy for her, I’ve warned her countless times and she just kept going “nu uh, it’s the Democrats who wanna kill us all.”
