  1. Lol he is just preparing for when they turn on him, and try and lynch him just like pence.

  2. So JDs role is to be the “loyal opposition”. You know Trump is going o pardon them.

  3. Trying to establish why it’s okay to pardon X and not Y.

  4. In his defense, at the time when he said that, Trump felt the same way but for a different reason. Trump was pissed at them for failing to successfully launch a coup that overturn the results of the 2020 election allowing him remain in office. The J6 rioters were on his ever expanding list of grievances of people that failed him personally and he made it a point of not doing them any favors on his way out the door. He could have pardoned every last one of them prior to the inauguration but that would have hurt his grift of selling pardons through JKush for $3mil a piece if he gave so many away for free and there were already many coconspirators asking for pardons because they had done things in support of Trump that might qualify as crimes and public and seemed an awful lot like “light treason”

  5. “Shut up nerd” – President Musk and Donald Trump to JD

  6. Honest question: what kind of relationship do Peter Thiel and Musk have these days? Because Vance is just Thiel’s proxy, and Trump is just Musk’s, I wonder how Vance and Musk interact. I just realized this entire administration is just Russian nesting dolls of different billionaires. Now I’m sad.

  7. The key is they don’t think any of them committed violence

  8. I’m getting a lot of “you fuckers tried to kill the last guy in this position so fuck off” vibes here.

Also /Nelson *points finger …. “HA HA”

  9. Of course, Trump & Co. are the ones that get to define “violence” now.

  10. breaking news, JD Vance receives death threats and calls for resignation

  11. I figure they are setting the stage for dialing back the promise to pardon *all* of them.  There are probably some people who were convicted of just trespassing or vandalism or whatever.  I’m not sure if it’s going to play well if he pardons the people the ones on camera eye gouging cops.

Potentially an unpopular opinion,  but I feel group crime needs to punished accordingly.  Too often a mob of people will commit a crime and the people who didn’t go “hands-on” get to walk away like they are innocent.  The violent ones would have been much easier to handle without the 50x extra people lending numbers to back them.  If I was at a protest and the people in front of me were trying to kill the police, I’m leaving.

  12. Violence such as breaking and entering, menacing, assault, destruction of property….you know….rioting.

  13. Vance is setting himself up as “the reasonable one” for when the Thiel-backed 25th Amendment move happens against Don.

  14. This is typical politician double speak.

What he says now: “I think people who committed violent crimes shouldn’t be pardoned”

What he’ll say later: “These people did nothing wrong and their acts were neither violent or illegal”

  15. So as long as if I find myself forcing my way into areas of our Federal Congress’ Chambers which I am not permitted to be without an invitation, uninvited, it’s ok so long as I force my way in non-violently?

This is from the “law and order” party.

  16. “And as it happens the violent ones were all antifa, and working for pelosi!’
