Zelenskiy says he’s ready to exchange North Korean soldiers for Ukrainians held in Russia

1. Too bad neither Putin nor Kim give a shit about their people and likely have zero interest in any sort of exchange.

3. If these people are sent back they might be executed, or even worse, have to live in North Korea.

6. I’m guessing he has treated them well and expect them to tell the rest of the NK soldiers. As to cause them to want to abandon the Russians.

7. The North Koreans have already issued orders that their soldiers should kill themselves before capture, so I wouldn’t be too keen on going back.

8. Yeah these guys have seen the outside world they are fucking dead if they get sent back. That goes for everyone of them who got on the trains to leave. Not one of them will return home.

13. They will likely be treated very badly if they ever return to N Korea. Best to keep them as POWs, they will get better treatment.

20. I’m pretty sure NK doesn’t want them back. Either for being captured or by simply being out of the sphere of influence thus making them “tainted” so to speak.

21. In order to make a trade, both parties need to have what each other wants.

    This will go as well as one can expect over someone who would even send their citizens to war in the first place. 

    Cruel as it might sound, I believe KJU sees the loss of NK life as a blessing. More food for him.

23. Putin will offer 1 Ukrainian life for 69 North Korean lives. But to get 1 Russian life back, he’s willing to give 420 North Korean lives.
