She has since deleted her tweet and re-worded her thoughts with….*“I believe that language matters in that work. And that it is harmful for a global figure to express war as “alien to Europe.”* – which, again, takes what he said out of context. From his quote – **”For our generation, it’s very alien to see this in Europe”** – which sounds like he’s saying a war of this magnitude in Europe, in the past 20 years, is not something we’re used to seeing. I don’t see anything wrong in what he said.
Can’t really see much wrong with what was said really. Younger people in western europe aren’t used to seeing the impact of war.
