  1. Source: Halebot on Wikipedia
    Tool Used: LibreOffice Calc

  2. That is more than four edits for every hour Wikipedia has existed. Appreciate the site, but that’s a lot

  3. People don’t understand how insane these numbers are. The top editor needed to make over a thousand edits a day, for 15 years with no days off.

  4. I know there are some bots that go around fixing formatting and that kind of thing. I assume a big chunk of edits, particularly for the top guy must come from that.

Don’t know how someone could amass this many edits otherwise.

Edit: Turns out top guy has a wikipedia page

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Pruitt

    >Pruitt has not literally pressed the “edit” button 4.4 million times. One method he has used to achieve his astonishing numbers is a software tool that allows a user to make numerous identical edits simultaneously. For example, he could italicize every mention of Northern Virginia magazine across Wikipedia where it currently appears in standard font. Yet it is claimed he has not “cheated” his way to the top spot, since that software is also available to others.

  5. LOL, i thought this was edits on pages about the listed people and could not figure out how the most editable people (on english wikipedia) were completely unheard of by me.

  6. Is it just me or is this graph missing a few pixles. Hard to read and zooming in just makes it worse.

  7. Jesus Christ, I have 112 edits and I think it’s something.

  8. I love that the rightmost guys’ name is ‘Frietjes’, gebaseerd.

  9. Much more interesting list would be a list of top editors without any kind of automated edits from software. Is there such a list?
