Cicadas are coming back, unfortunately 🥲
That’s an alarming title ahah
The bait, it is clicky.
What’s wrong with cicadas?
I’m confused as to why this is an every year thing and people still feel the need to talk about it as if it happens only 17 years apart lmao
I think they’re adorable. They don’t bite and they are very good for animals to eat after they die and their bodies help forests
This type of post should be banned. CMV
Cicadas
Its just cicadas. They’re harmless, except in places like Arizona where there are so many that it hurts the ears to go outside.
I love them. Every year my window screens are have many exoskeleton molts clinging to them. I love the sound of the brood makes in the trees. I love all nature in the environment. A fertile ecosystem makes my heart sing.
I thought that was last year
The image just shows a cicada. Title is so moronic I’m not even going to read it. Sorry but I’m so tired of people sensationalizing and demonizing animals.
Cicadas the most annoying plague. Goddam are they loud.
Love cicadas. I remember when brood x came out when I was in high school and then a few years ago. Truthfully, I was sad there weren’t more of them. Deforestation and all the development in the past 17 years has been rough on them. They’re such a cool insect that has almost no downside.
If you’re interested my local npr did a ten part podcast on them/brood x when they were emerging. https://www.npr.org/podcasts/989096781/brood-x-the-cicada-podcast
On alert for what? Stupid title. But an amazing spectacle of nature.
