Hey, I have this port in my house. I am having trouble finding solution for the internet. Can I use these type of cable to connect to internet. My router is ethernet supported.

  1. No. If your building uses cable internet you need a cable modem. A simple adapter is not enough.

  2. This type of connection usually requires a cable modem. Ask your internet provider, they do have those.

  4. you need cable modem. youll get one from your internet provider if you already have a contract you can also buy your own modem. note there are not many cable modems on sale but what we have are from AVM FRITZ!Box. used to have problems with whatever junk ISPs sent out but no problems with my FRITZ.

  5. That’s the TV channel port you plug into your TV. You should get a modem.

  7. Check the electric box in the hall if you have one, you may have ethernet port there. It’s very unlikely your internet would come through those ports in the pic.

  9. You need to check with for example Elisa that your apartment/house has connection then you need to buy an DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. I would recommend the Arris DOCSIS 3.0 as its the one i have used for 3 years without problems.
