Hello, in 2019. while I was living in Germany I got loan from bank for 5000€. I went back to Croatia and didn’t pay loan because of bad financial situation. Now I plan to open company in Germany and pay whole my loan. About much time does it need to pass for my score to get back to good one ?

  1. If your bank has acquired a title (which they most likely did given the sum) then this won’t go away got like 30 years. From the moment you pay I think it gets removed 2 years later.

  2. 3 years after you have paid everything this will no longer affect Schufa. However it still is possible that some of your former contract partners (e.g. the bank and its affiliates) will then have information about your behaviour in the past. Anyone who knows about it will not give you a loan or not even a bank account probably.

    With this Schufa, you will hardly even be able to rent a flat in Germany. Your best bet would be living together with someone who has a good Schufa. Or maybe you are lucky and find someone who does not want your Schufa before renting out a flat to you.
