Senegal poised to leave UN’s Least Developed Countries category • FRANCE 24 English

Since 1990, Senegal’s score on development, measured across a basket of different UN criteria, has risen  by nearly 40 percent and its push for progress has started  paying dividends. It is now set to become the 5th African nation to graduate from the UN’s list of least developed countries. Caitlin Kelly reports from Dakar.

  1. It happens when a country stops aligning with western snakes and working with countries that care about mutually beneficial transactions. Look at Niger, now the fastest growing country in Africa since it chased the French out.
