how did you do it?
I have everything prepared this website told me to prepare (https://australien.diplo.de/au-en/service/visa/long-term/working-holiday-2640582 ) just to then find out that I dont submit the documents, I instead need to go to Sydney in person with the documents to see the german consulate general.

which told me that I dont need to go to Sydney??? I am very confused regarding what my options are so please let me know your experience! please let me know if you showed up in germany with literally no attempt at letting the country know you were coming beforehand (i.e. with no visa) as I cant wrap my head around that.
a bit about me:
I dont live close to Sydney so a trip there would be a bit of a hassle
looking to move to berlin at the start of march
want to start working in October at a ski field but also open to being able to work from March
have B2 german goethe Zertifikat
degree in math & have experience working in SAP so open to working in this field but would need to brush up on my Deutsch and be more C1+

Just as FYI for your plans on working as Apre Ski bartender in October – there is no snow in October.
There are also no ski areas in Berlin.
