…German is also an official language…so we are trilingual (and 100 years ago we could have added Walloon and Picard).

The Flemish speak Dutch and are forced to also learn French.
The Walloons it depends on what region if they also learn Dutch. For most it’s optional.
In both the Flanders and Wallonia you learn English too afaik. And German is also optional in most schools.
I’d call us Flemish trilingual: Dutch-French-English. I do know that the Walloons stick a bit more to their French so other languages aren’t seen as important there but they still learn at least one other I think?
Belgium isnt a country, just a place the British and Prussians created to hold war games. Can we just stop pretending anymore and cut it up between its neighbours.
