  1. Mon the haggis.

Loads of people like haggis, otherwise they wouldn’t sell haggis pizza, haggis suppers haggis morning rolls. In fact I went to a Christmas market last month and there was a stall that sold loaded fried and they had *haggis loaded fries* but they’d been so popular they were sold out.

  2. People who’ve *actually tried it* and not just bought into the stereotype

  3. Love haggis.

Out of curiosity, is this pic really? Why’s that fork so long and why does the plate have a handle?

  4. Love it, order it in restaurants all the time and buy it from shops often

  5. Love it, and it’s one of only a few dishes where I enjoy the vegetarian equivalent as much as the meat one.

  6. I like it in small amounts, like stuffing. I wouldn’t order a big pile of it like this but it’s nice on loads of stuff as a topper.

  7. The fork is giving me the creeps. Anyway, yes, absolutely love Haggis.

  8. Love it . Bit tatties bit neeps whisky sauce . Banging

  9. I’d be astonished if any meat eater didn’t like haggis! Similarly, I’d be astonished if any veggie didn’t like vegetarian haggis – a fine dish in its own right.

  10. Mum hates it. First time I tried it was a haggis supper and was like holy fuck this is top tier

  11. I like a slice of it as part of a full breakfast, or as a component in a dish, but I wouldn’t rush to eat a whole plate of it.

  12. I’ll say it, there was a long time I’d dump the haggis and the fruit pudding straight into the bin out a breakfast pack.

I used to get it fairly regularly for dinner and I got sick of it, but it was probably around lockdown when I had it for dinner again for the first time in years, and when I tell you I cried eating ma haggis neeps n tatties, I ain’t joking !

I don’t want to sound like a shortbread tin wearing tartan bleeder, but eating it now feels like it connects me and grounds me. It’s an emotional experience.

  13. I make haggis lasagna sometimes and it’s well good

  14. I prefer the veggie version being a veggie but flavouring wise there isn’t much difference from what I remember meaty haggis as tasting like. I like haggis baked potatoes with Brussel sprouts, carrot and cabbage.

  15. It’s delicious. I’m surprised it’s not eaten more often throughout the year. Even veggie haggis is absolutely delicious, it’s mostly in the herbs and spices, and it’s a fine dish.

  16. Of all the people I know who’ve tried it, not one of them dislikes it.

  17. Lots of people love Haggis, people need to realise that. It is a myth that people don’t like it purely because of its ingredients just like people need to realise that Black Pudding is liked by a lot of people.

  18. What does not actually like haggis? There is even a veggie version!

  19. I live in Ireland now, when people ask i say ‘do you like black pudding’ if they say yes, I’d say they’d like haggis.

  20. Haggis is probably my favourite food I am a picky eater tho

  21. I will not hear any haggis slander! It’s fucking delish!
