In response to current challenges, IOM and WFP launched a regular General Population Needs and Vulnerability Assessment, henceforth General Population Survey (GPS) to assess the situation of the general population of the Republic of Moldova focusing on employment, food security, main needs, social cohesion and mobility intentions. Data collection for Round Two of the General Population Survey took place from 3 to 28 June 2024 across the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova , except for the Left Bank of the Dniester River. In total, 1,500 phone interviews with citizens of the country were conducted using the random digit dialing (RDD) sampling technique. For more information on the methodology, please refer to the Methodology at the end of this report.

This report presents analysis of the main socio-demographic characteristics of citizens, their status of food security, employment, main needs, including social cohesion and mobility intentions.
