  1. Insurance is essentially a legal scam in the US. You insure everything and then insure the insurance and yet when the fan is hit, it still wrecks people’s lives in every possible way.

Also I hope outlets start covering which LA based celebrities are currently taking pointless flights on their private jets and who are the ones helping/contributing…

  2. *”Watching a daughter use a garden hose to try and protect her 90-year-old parents’ home because their insurance was canceled was just gut-wrenching to me,” Perry wrote. “Does anyone else find it appalling that insurance companies can take billions of dollars out of communities for years and then, all of a sudden, be allowed to cancel millions of policies for the very people they became rich on?”*

*”People who have paid premiums all of their lives are left with nothing because of pure greed,” he added. “As I am in the process of trying to figure out what steps to take to do all I can to help as many as I can, I am keeping everyone in my prayers.”*

  3. Exactly what insurance companies want. You to do their job so they can keep the $.

  4. If you’re a multi billionaire, this seems like a noble cause. I’d make a website and have people affected send me proof they owned the home, then start cutting checks.

Pick a number you’re comfortable losing to help humanity and then move on. Thing is.. you don’t become a billionaire if you’re a compassionate person.

A quote that hit me hard as an adult..

    “Money doesn’t like company”

Meaning, the people who hoard it do so cause that’s the only way they can control stuff. They don’t have a personality or heart.. they use money to make themselves look better on the surface.

Still, hope Perry helps regardless of his intent.

  5. Tyler Perry spreading misinformation. Companies don’t see the fires start and then begin cancelling policies. That’s not even remotely occurring here, that would be illegal.

  6. I hate that the government can make it a requirement for us to have insurance, but say they are incapable of policing these companies in the slightest
