Vehicle privacy technology specialist Privacy4Cars has expanded its offering to meet the growing demand for its services and features, in Europe and beyond.

According to company founder Andrea d’Amico, there is “rapidly growing demand for our services in Europe”. This is due to recent interpretations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

According to this key EU regulation, vehicle remarketers (and other handlers of previously used vehicles) have a legal obligation to delete personalized vehicle data before handing over the vehicle to new users.

To respond to the increased demand, Privacy4Cars has invested in new tools, tech and services, and is now offering app support in four additional languages (besides English): German, French, Spanish, and Italian. “This will enable us to better accommodate diverse staff and varying infotainment system settings”, according to Mr d’Amico.

Exclusively for its customers in the EU, UK and Switzerland, Privacy4Cars has also launched a new, EU-based cloud storage system, which will contain all the activity reports and certificates they need.

Besides enhanced in-app metrics and reporting, the company will also provide a new loaner vehicle integration tool. This gives dealerships the option to easily wipe personal data from replacement vehicles used for short times by their customers. It’s also an important bridge towards Privacy4Cars entering the vehicle rental market.
