  1. That cunt is attempting to bleed her dry financially by this

  2. His half-witted simps will be frothing at the mouth over this.

  3. Is this the CCTV footage the DPP saw and decided not to prosecute?

  4. I think it’s fair to release the footage, assuming it’s released in its entirety and not edited to make her look bad.

The case was done in public and that was because of her lawyers deciding to do it that way. It is a public interest story now.

  5. We should have known this was happening when Dee said she wanted everyone to see the CCTV.

She said something along the lines of “I hope one day every gets to see the CCTV of you”. Maybe she should have turned up to the case for one day besides the verdict day. The jury seen those videos and still found him guilty.

  6. As far as I can see, all he has done is intimidate her since the trial.

  7. I’m no fan of McGregor, but this whole trial was weird in my view. Naming someone as a rapist in the public sphere without a criminal conviction doesn’t sit well with me. Everyone knows what even being accused of something like this can do to a person and their reputation. Now I don’t think he gives a fuck about reputation or money at this stage, but I’m thinking in the broader sense. If the video was submitted as evidence in the trail I don’t see why it can’t be released. If it was the other way around, and it showed him doing something unsettling, people would be up in arms to have it in the public view!
He’s a cunt, and I doubt he’ll change, but nobody should be labelled as a criminal unless convicted, that’s what the legal system is for.
    My two cents anyway…

  8. Obviously, mcgregor thinks that releasing this footage will sway public opinion, and he’s probably right. I followed this quite closely and was surprised that he was found liable. I’m not saying the jury was right or wrong in their verdict. Although, I do believe his outbursts on the witness stand damaged his own case and may have led to him being found liable. His time and behaviour on the stand were a gift to NH’s team.

I’m not defending mcgregor here. I don’t like the man. In my opinion, he’s capable of what he’s been accused of. This is just my opinion from what evidence was reported to the public. I would love to see what evidence the dpp were privy to and why they came to their decision. I don’t know if the cctv should be released. On the one hand, you have a man who claims to be totally innocent and is in possession of evidence that may save what’s left of his reputation. On the other hand, you have a victim who should be entitled to her privacy.

I understand this is a very emotive subject, but I think people need to understand the difference between guilty and liable.

  9. I never understood the obsession with Conor McGregor. He’s a scumbag, he’s always been a scumbag, he’ll always _be_ a scumbag. If anything he’ll just become a bigger scumbag than he already is. Guys that behave the way he always has are not nice, to put it mildly. But, for whatever reason, half the country worshipped him despite his crass out of ring behaviour.

  10. Videos may explain the very unusual result where he was found guilty but she received no award for the injuries suffered.

She only received legal fees and loss of earnings.

That alone makes this very interesting.

  11. I would have thought that sharing CCTV footage would be covered under GDPR, it would need her consent unless there’s a legitimate interest, which there can’t be because everything is already settled.

  12. The CCTV evidence obviously shows her behaving in a way people with no experience dealing with rape victims believe a rape victim wouldn’t behave.

The judge, thankfully with some awareness of this rape myth, correctly reminded the jury of this in their directions to the jury:

    >  In evaluating the evidence, the jury should be cautious about drawing conclusions about what they think a person sexually assaulted should or should not have done. They must decide the issue solely on the evidence, not on “preconceptions”, the judge said.

    > It does not necessarily follow that a person who has been sexually assaulted will complain to the first available person about what happened or attempt to flee from the aggressor. A person subject to a stressful event such as rape may respond to that event in ways “which may seem strange or irrational”, especially so when a person is befuddled by the consumption of intoxicants like alcohol and other drugs and may have fallen asleep after an event.

But of course McGregor, the rapist, is happy to trade on rape myths in order to make his victim look bad, safe in the knowledge that they won’t be as informed as the jury.

So yeah, no shit she doesn’t want it released.

  13. How come he hasn’t tried to have the photos of her bruising released ?

  14. Is their no end to how much of a cunt one person can be? He seems to get worse just then you think he’s peaked

  15. I’ve seen some very nasty comments towards Nikita from the usual nobs on Twitter and stuff. Why would the victim want a video shared of her extremely drunk and being taken advantage of?‬

‪The court and jury seen it and decided McGregor was liable for rape. That should be that.‬

  16. The cctv should be released in the interests of fairness. It was a civil trial, McGregor’s name has been destroyed, it was all public so this should be too.

I personally thought it should have all been behind closed doors. As someone from Dublin I never thought he was anything other than a toe-rag, I mean it was obvious.

  17. I can’t see how an injunction will be effective. A third party outside of Ireland will likely leak it to the internet

  18. He’s a thug, he’s always been a thug, now he’s a thug in an expensive suit

  19. The fact she had to get her tampon surgically removed is possibly the most disturbing part of the events. I don’t know any woman who would chose to have sex with the tampon still in. It was enough for me. The cctv is useless unless it shows her giving consent. There are many trauma responses and blocking out what happened is one of them.
