Ireland AM presenter Síomha Ní Ruairc and Kin actor Cathal Pendred have shared some snaps from their “one-in-a-lifetime honeymoon” in southeast Asia.
The couple tied the knot at a stunning fairytale wedding in Lough Eske Hotel in Donegal last June.
Over the past few weeks, they’ve been spending some time travelling together across Thailand and Vietnam, with Síomha sharing some of the first photos from their trip on Instagram, which included a handful of seaside scenes and some plush accommodation shots.
She told her followers that they were “still pinching themselves” after visiting the Thai islands of Phuket and Phi Phi.
Captioning the post, the Gaeilgeoir wrote: “Mí na Meala / Honeymoonin’ (1/?!)
“Took ourselves on an extended Christmas break and are still pinching ourselves at the experiences we’ve had. What a gorgeous country & people.”
Síomha later revealed on her Instagram Stories that she and Cathal had moved on to Vietnam as she warned that she’d be spamming her feed with photos and videos from their travels.
“Heileo from a beautiful (& cold!) north Vietnam,” she wrote, sharing a photo of her hilly view in Sapa.
“Coming to the end of a restful and one-in-a-lifetime honeymoon. Husband and I had an unplugged ball.
“Here is your official warning that a deluge of SE Asia content is en route – tbo it is just so gorgeous!
“Athbhliain faoi mhaise (happy New Year)”.
The loved-up twosome said “I do” last summer at Lough Eske, Co Donegal surrounded by their closest friends and family, including influencers Niamh Cullen and James Kavanagh.
They enjoyed an idyllic minimoon in Donegal together shortly after their nuptials.
The big day came four years after Síomha popped the question in the Irish tradition of proposing on a Leap Day.
“Scariest thing I have done in my whole life but it was so so worth it. I couldn’t be happier. Báite i ngrá leat. #leapyear,” she wrote at the time as she announced their exciting news.
