UK’s ‘healthiest city’ is in Scotland with twice the green space of London

  1. Edinburgh is also unaffordable for most and rammed with tourists for most of the year.

  2. Edinburgh is a shit place to live these days, it’s a commodified circus of tourists and is ridiculously expensive. So many better options

  3. People who don’t post the city in the title are cretins.

  4. What is counted as green space is pretty silly – the fenced- off school football pitches at the end of my street (including plastic grass) are ‘public green space’.

I’d heard rumours that Dundee’s stated % of green space was actually made up. So I stuck in a FOI request. 😈
Strangely enough, they had no information…

  5. Funny fact is London has enough tree cover to meet the UN definition of a forest.

  6. Most of the people in Edinburgh don’t look particularly healthy though, perhaps because there are bakeries and cake shops on every corner.

  7. City the size of one of Londons smaller boroughs has more trees than the biggest city in Europe. The idea of crowing about this is just odd. All of Scotlands population could fit in south London with ample space left over. London is a mega city & Edinburgh isn’t even the biggest city in Scotland.
I expect bath is more green than London.

  8. Also just enough posh English people to be considered civilized
