  6. Gaiman was my hero as a teenage nerd, this sucks so much. I knew there were allegations of impropriety which is bad enough, but it’s so much worse than I thought. Those poor women 🙁

  10. It’s way worse than I could have imagined. Palmer doesn’t exactly come out of it looking incredible either, but she’s always been kinda off.

    This whole thing is way worse than it seemed initially, I would love to say I don’t see how he can possibly maintain any kind of career after this but at this point I know he’ll probably just deny it and push to the right like every other scum bag

  14. Well. That sucks. I like sandman. I have the books. And the show turned out aite imo. Ive read some of his other novels too and i was a fan. They say you should never meet your heroes. As i grew up Ive learned to separate the art from the artist.

  21. It’s all horrible but what really sticks out is how he (allegedly etc etc) used his son in the sexual assaults. That’s an extremely abusive home.

  25. Sandman quickly became one of my favorite fictional works and I really respected Neil Gaiman based on all I knew about him. But this is genuinely horrifying and tarnishes everything he’s done. Hope the victims can heal and his son can have a normal childhood away from his influence. Unfortunately it is clear that Neil is a scumbag and I doubt there’s any scenario where he’s redeemed.

  26. Years ago, I was involved with someone who was best friends with Neil Gaiman. One night we were in bed and her phone chimed, she rolled over to check it and scoffed. I asked what was up, and she said, “Want to see Neil Gaiman’s dick?” I said yes and there it was. Nobody was able to escape it.

  27. Every day it seems I become more and more shocked at how many men hate women and how their ultimate fantasies are rape and humiliation. I just listened to more about Gisele Pericot and how her husband had files on her saying Abuse and labeling his organized rapes as Whore. And how many men participated. And I cant decide if this was always happening, or porn is making it worse, or women distancing themselves from marriage and the patriarchy is creating a dangerous anger in men.

    But I used to think a small number of men were like this. It doesnt seem so small anymore.

  29. This is what I was waiting for. The only source I’d seen for this for 6-8+ months was some podcast/blog nobody had ever heard of and nobody else was pursuing it. I couldn’t tell if it was legit or just some small website trying to draw traffic to it. I hope that podcast gets cited for being a source.
