1. These guys must be funded by Oil companies just to piss everyone off.

2. These people are trying my patience and I’m an ecologist.

3. Spray chalk powder NOT paint. It can be washed off very easily – but that doesn’t make good headlines.

8. Everyone missing the point. It doesn’t matter what they do. It doesn’t matter what they desecrate. It doesn’t matter who they upset, annoy or anger. 

   We’re still fucked. 

   There will be no change, no decrease in emissions or pollution. The temperature will rise, the ice will melt and the land will flood.

   The world will be cinders and you’ll still be thinking of a way to protest that doesn’t piss you off.

12. Something I wish they would consider: people who are already on your side are ALREADY ON YOUR SIDE. they don’t need to be convinced.

    People who don’t believe in climate action who _do_ need to be convinced of its importance are pushed away by this organisation that just presents itself as a complete nuisance.

    Every time they come up in the news I’m more convinced that it’s a big oil psyop to make climate activists look like disagreeable assholes.

21. I didn’t realise we’d lost 3/4s of the world’s wildlife since the 1970s, so I did a bit of research and it appears to be true.
    It’s made me feel sick tbh

22. So I am a qualified AC technician. I deal with refrigerants that cause global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer.
    Obviously I do my best to not let these chemicals get released into the atmosphere and we have strict rules in Europe about these chemicals.

    But I have seen videos of people installing, removing and recycling refrigerant based systems in other parts of the world.
    I can say right now that what we do in this country will not change anything when there are people in other parts of the world who just don’t care at all.
    These people in low economic countries just let the refrigerant out into the atmosphere when working on these systems. A old home AC system will have the equivalent of 100,000-250,000 miles of driving in your car worth of CO2 and these guys just let it out without a care in the world.

    As a country, even the whole of Europe joined together and became “net zero”, we would not make a dent in the problem and I only really know about this part of the problem.

    We are fucked.

23. I wonder what the British public care more about, a very big impending apocalypse that’ll be a disaster for us and our children, or being minorly annoyed by people trying to bring attention to the very big impending apocalypse

    I don’t fancy our chances.

24. Attack the fucking fossil fuel companies, or the banks, politicians and wealthy individuals that enable and encourage them. These guys are fucking slowing down to progress to net zero by creating a scapegoat for the right wing burners to rally around.
