  1. Christianity in the US by county* without showing how prevalent said world view is in contrast to others.

  2. Interesting to see Alaska basically contaminated by Russian Orthodox church.

  3. Does this include ‘none’? Since more than a quarter of the country is either atheist, agnostic, or ‘nothing in particular’, I’m surprised there wouldn’t be a single county where they’re the majority.

  4. Similar to the red/blue by county this exaggerates LDS and Eastern Orthodox. Those counties didn’t have a lot of population. A circle by population centered on each county would be very helpful.

  5. I’m from Hawaii and I don’t agree with that map. There’s tons of Protestants in Hawaii. Not as many Catholics.

Fun bit of history, the first missionaries to Hawaii were Protestant. They converted the Hawaiian royalty to Protestantism. The King then passed laws against Catholics making Catholicism a crime on par with murder and rape. That’s why there’s so few Catholics churches in Hawaii today.

  6. Protestant is not a religion. It just means “not Catholic”

  7. We’ve really gotta stop with this graph, feels like it gets posted every week.

  8. I think I see the problem here……there seems to be a religion infestation.

  9. I’d like to see it for people who attended a service at least once in the last month. A lot of people will pick one but not necessarily actively be involved

  10. Add “No religious affiliation” in, let’s see what the map looks like then.

  11. I think this would benefit from an overlay of state boundaries

  12. Willing to bet a lot of areas are majority atheist/agnostic.

  13. Interesting how this map varies each time I’ve seen it. Elko county Nevada in particular. I’ve minute it’s mormon, the next Catholic. Being from there, mormon is definitely higher.
