They are usually one of the very last to confirm and start, but they somehow manage to make it work. Moldovan broadcaster (TRM) has now concluded the first stage of their national selection and soon the second stage will take place as well.

Going through Etapa Națională

As mentioned in our previous post regarding registration for participating in the Moldovan selection, the selection will contain of 3 main phases, which are as follows:

Examination of submission – Which lasted between December 28th 2024 and January 15th 2025 – now completed
Live auditions – Which will take place on January 18th 2025 – 17:00 CET
National final – Which will take place on February 22nd 2025

Applying for the national final ended on the 27th of December 2024, and since then, Moldovan broadcaster (TRM) have been evaluating all the entries they have received, and now, they can confirm, which songs and artist we can expect to see during the live auditions:

By looking at the list of participants, Moldova will be sending a new artist to this song contest this year, since no former Eurovision entrant is among the participants this year. A total of 29 artists will participate, despite there being 30 accepted entries. That’s because Sasha Bognibov is the only act to have two entries this year.
Also among the participants this year, are a few former acts who did perform in the national final in the past, such as Catalina Solomac, NORDIKA and Sasha Letty, just to name a few.
