  1. “About 3,000 police officers were reportedly involved in the second attempt to secure access to the compound, news agency Yonhap said.” The police were not messing around this time after being blocked by the presidential security service a couple weeks ago.

  2. They used 1200 police officers, had to push past several barricades and a human chain. It took hours to resolve.

  3. Trump : “he must be poor or something because in here laws are only for poors lmao”

  4. So during the aftermath, when do they go to the secret service offices and go “Ayo wtf was that shit, man.”

  5. Wait you can hold your leaders responsible for their crimes?

  6. 1,200 police to arrest a national leader after failing the first time because of military presence. Holy hell, it might as well have been a siege.

  7. I want to add why this took so long (taking hours to arrest) was the security team was resistng a lot while his die hard cults were surrounding his home. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials and police did not want to cause any bloody incident so tried to take things slowly and surely.

  8. In America, we let our Yoon just become president again because half of our country has a room temperature IQ. I applaud South Korea.

  9. Woah, you can hold executives accountable for their crimes? I should tell my fellow Americans about this.

  10. Wait, so he wasn’t reelected four years later on a revenge platform?

  11.  A President being arrested for an attempted coup? What a concept!

  12. About time. Was starting to doubt the competency of their government. Glad that not another democratic state has crumbled.

  13. We got him everyone. Thanks to all that we’re monitoring the situation closely.

  14. As a Korean-American it makes me happy to see democracy work there. And sad that it doesn’t work here.

  15. The US supreme court would’ve been 5-4 that you can’t arrest a sitting president. It’s nice to see the rule of law still exists in other countries.

  16. Rookie mistake. he should have been a US president instead if he wanted to pull a sick move like this.

  17. Crazy that a politician tries to overthrow the government and actually gets arrested. Here in America, we just put that person in as president…

  18. Bizarrely, it’s kind of comforting to think that lots of democratic countries actually sometimes *do* arrest their leaders, to try to hold them to account when they commit crimes or try to overthrow democracy.

  19. A couple weeks after it happened too. America is looking more like a 3rd world country every day
