  1. > With over 65 film credits, nine Academy Award nominations (including two wins) and more than 270 accolades across a 45-year career, Denzel Washington is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation. Yet, despite his towering legacy, Washington remains an undeniable blind spot for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

  2. Ngl, I don’t like the movie but Denzel Washington is really good in the movie. I think he deserves a nomination at least

  3. Snub is most overused word at award season. He didn’t get nominated because the voters didn’t feel he was one of the best simple as that.

  4. Snub? He’s lucky he wasn’t nominated for a razzie

  5. He is not that good of an actor. Snubbing someone is usually done in anger. Now it is like Diva. Overused and meaningless.

  6. I’m sure he’ll get over it bt looking at his Academy Award.

  7. How many African American actors have been nominated for a Bafta.

  8. I mean, judging by how the film underutilised him as an actor, I wouldn’t wanna be nominated for something where he didn’t do that much.

  9. To be fair, I don’t think he has starred in many British films, only one I can recall off the top of my head was Branagh’s Much Ado about Nothing in ’93

  10. snub implies a certain expectation of being nominated. If it doesn’t, then I’ve been snubbed as well

  11. Denzel & Joseph Quinn were the only good parts of that movie

I love Paul Mescal but they did *NOT* give the characters enough time in the oven. The problem is Gladiator had 2 storylines, Gladiator 2 had 3 storylines, just wasn’t enough time to give all the characters enough development
