Following the reveal of the twenty-nine acts competing in the auditions for Etapa Națională 2025, the first songs have been released.
Thirteen of the thirty songs competing in the audition round of Etapa Națională 2025 have been released to date. The songs’ release come after the participants in the audition round were announced by Teleradio Moldova on January 14. The songs competing in the Moldovan selection that have been released to date are:

The live auditions stage is set to take place on January 18 in TRM’s studio no. 2. After the live auditions, a jury will select ten acts to proceed to the live final stage, scheduled on February 22. In the final of Selecția Națională 2025, the winner will be determined by 50% televoting and 50% jury voting.
Natalia Barbu performed “In The Middle” in Semi-Final One of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Moldova placed 13th in the Semi-Final scoring 20 points.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Moldova’s best result in the contest is 3rd place in 2017 for Sunstroke Project with “Hey Mamma!”. This was the second time the group had represented their country in Eurovision. Moldova has been represented by several artists who have competed in the contest before, with five acts having represented Moldova a combined eleven times.
