3. The use of this term "shadow fleet" is inaccurate and deliberately misleading. They are called shadow ships because they are not insured by Lloyd's of London. Period. Also, ships, including cruise ships, are regularly registered in different nations for financial reasons, and fly the flag of that nation. There is nothing sketchy or illegal here. The journalism, however, is indeed questionable
