Javier Milei is an economist and president of Argentina. After a year in office, he brought Argentina’s month-over-month inflation rate down from 25% to 2.4%. Poverty rose in the first half of 2024 as the country undertook difficult austerity measures. It seems that the toughest period is over, since poverty has now fallen and is estimated to be lower than when Milei took office.
Its dumb as shit. Just like most of the things he says are.
People hate this quote but I think it’s one of the only things he’s said that I agree with
I mean, do people honestly believe that printing money helps poverty?
Are we really that indoctrinated? Scary if so.
Well… C’s get degrees.
I’ll forward this to our college president.
Producing clothes will end nudity
apples and oranges.
It’s a good analogy between a monetary policy that’s too expansive and the subpar private university that printed his diploma.
1 trillion every hundred days. That’s what the quote made me think of
I think most of the responders have printed diplomas.
This dumb motherfucker is a perfect example of reading books and still being stupid. He keeps taking about the economists he reads and philosophies but his big strategy is exploiting the country. Yeah dude real fucking smart wish someone else had thought of that of wait half the countries in the world
“If you break down every economic idea you have to an idiom that it is digestible by a 1st grader people will think you are smart”
Has anyone ever actually argued that printing money ends poverty? Or is this one of those ‘strawman’ things.
This is quite true. Although I now lots of stupid that have a PhD or they are even drs. and tons of inteligent people who are self educated.
I mean, he isn’t wrong, but who is saying that printing money would end poverty?
That all being said, printing money sure did help the uber wealthy (in the US) have a bigger share of the wealth “pie” so to speak.
What does he mean by “printing money”?
Go into debt or actually printing out additional currency on top of current supply???
Genuinely curious.
I absolutely love it—it’s bold and refreshingly straightforward.
The problem is distribution. I hired people with and without diplomas and some with were useless as a rock. There are countless examples of rich people who are financially retarded. Just because you have more money does not mean you are more worthy.
Take advantage of the fact that you can still enter Argentina without a visa because it will later become an empire and will not accept any kind of citizen. Argentina will be a world economic power and a beacon of freedom.
Just more lip service and bullshit. Having people in poverty makes them feel superior.
Sounds like somebody is expecting a mint and a printing press to do more than they were asked to.
This is the definition of a straw man argument.
Literally no one is saying printing money will solve poverty. This is just a smug way of implying that people trying to help with poverty don’t care about the debt. The exact same people will then suddenly have zero problem with cutting taxes for the rich and increasing the debt.
False equivalence and ridiculous
Hahaha! Thats actually pretty brilliant! I am gonna use that.
plentry of the rich kids in my degree might as well have printed their own diplimo given the amount of work they did to waltz into jobs
i’m no economist but just extrapolating, the rich kids got richer from printed money just fine
jason bateman’s long lost brother.
It is a bad analogy that only mouth breathers would think was correct. See a lot of those on Facebook and other social media sites. Used to spend my time arguing against the ignorance and stupidity, but it is 2025 and the stupid angry people won.
Can confirm they do print qualifications; my degree is hanging on my wall right now 🙂
In order to get a degree, you need to study, do the work, gain the knowledge to pass the tests. Degrees aren’t handed out like coupons to random people to get them to go to Arby’s. So, the comparison to printing money and degrees is very flimsy.

It depends on who you give it to.
