Borrowing a few phrases here, but ‘inshallah’ and ‘to the moon!”.
They are running out of modern tanks, which means more infantry charges.
The tanks that they have in abundance are ancient, outdated death traps that are mostly used to draw fire from other targets.
The Mongols used to think of the peoples they conquered as little more than herding animals. Maybe they weren’t far off when it came to the Russians. Five hundred years after Russia threw off the Mongol Yoke and their troops are still being driven like frightened goats towards prepared defences.
There was another post where people were talking about fewer tanks getting blown up might mean they’re holding back and prepping for a larger assault.
Then there’s stories like this with higher infantry losses and it really makes me think they’re just running out of equipment.
This is indicative of the declining state of the Russian military. Lack of modern tanks and armored transport vehicles. The further drawing down of heavy artillery is also a huge factor.
It was never going to happen all at once. But when the daily destroyed vehicles start to drop at the same time that the human casualties start increasing, we are entering the end game. That has definitely started happening with artillery numbers dropping.
What we can’t see is if the Ukrainian casualties have fallen or stayed steady. If that is the case, the Russians really are on their last legs.
If Europe steps up after Trump betrays Ukraine, these trends will continue to the end. A year at most. Putin’s only hope is Trump.
They are running out of armour. It’s obvious. They still have some modern stuff and well trained troops stationed adjacent to borders of NATO countries and China, but they have expended almost everything else. That is why we see vans, domestic cars, UTVs and motorcycles being used to access the front in Ukraine.
